Good news and Laura Ashley wellies

I spoke to my area manager at work today, and she has assured me that despite our branch closing in April, my job is safe, and I can choose where I would like to be transferred to. So I feel quite relieved. Now I've got to decide where I would like to work. This move will also mean either less hours on a saturday or no saturdays at all. So despite the fact that my pay would drop, it would mean that I get my weekends back, which would be a wonderful luxury. I need to think long and hard about what I want to do....

I spied these gorgeous Laura Ashley wellies in Homebase yesterday, whilst me and Mr Deravelled were looking at new bathrooms (guess what our next big project will be!!). I couldn't justify the £29.99 price tag then and there, but they are certainly something I will covet for the future!! And what a coincidence that they are the same pattern as the fabric that arrived the other day!

So glad your job situation is looking up! I know how frustrating and scary it can be.

good news about your job, and great wellies, i 'splashed' out on the orla kiely wellies when they had them in millets & they were worth every penny!
the sock pattern i'm doing was one that came free with the wool, it's very basic & they don't go into a lot of detail about how to do it, i'm amazed i've got so far with them, but think i'm hooked now as i'm already looking at more sock yarn!

Good news that your job is safe. Like the wellies too, but couldn't justify the price tag either.
Take care.

Glad to hear your job is safe . I had to leave my job last september to look after the kiddies, it just wasn't viable for me to work as the childcare would have cost more than i was bringing in... It's really hard managing on just one wage , so think about what you are going to do very carefully :-)

Great news re the job. Loving the wellies too. Am dropping very unsubtle hints for a pair for my birthday next month. Might have to print these ones out and shove them under hubbies nose. (I did say they weren't subtle hints!)

Hi Gem thanks for your kind words,no l dont use a pattern these are quite easy. make the tabs then sandwich them in between the two pieces,re the curtain and the lining right sides together your lining is a bit narrower than the curtain sew all three sides like a big pillow case if you knowwhat l meam Turn right side and press then turn them up make sure your tabs are facing the right way round before sewing hope this helps l am not too clever at explaining myself if you need any more help let me know and l will do my best

Glad all is well on the work front. Lovely wellies, but I always think I would look silly in wellies! But LA ones might not look so silly!! XX Gem

I haven't read mine through properly yet, sat in the car waiting for Holly to come out of school yesterday and had a quick read.
Enjoy your day off.
