A Bad Day

Today I found out that as of September I will be unemployed. I requested a change of hours, as I am going back to Uni to do a Postgraduate, and so can't do as many hours as I have been doing, but still need to work to survive, and HR got back today with the unwelcome news that they could not accommodate my change of hours request, as it would mean a change of contract, and they don't do that any more. So now I am desperately searching for another job so that I can still afford to do my course. And Mr Deravelled was less than supportive this evening about it all, so I am feeling pretty poo at the moment. :(

I'm now going to watch Friends and eat Poppets to make myself feel better. Toffee Poppets. And I don't care about the calories.

Oh heck that's bad news. I adore my man as I'm sure you do yours, but thay can be unsupportive at the worst of times! They have a knack of not knowing what to say, eh! Try and stay positive, your path will unfold as it should and I'm sure what seems terrible today can be turned around to a positive eventually. I hope your week gets better. Good luck with it all. Chin up and enjoy your poppets. Lucy. x

I have been sat here trying to think of some sensible thoughtful advice for you...and I got stuck!

Eat the poppets, then get another bag...ignore your OH, men can be unsensitive not like us ladies ;0) I'm sure he doesnt mean to be.

Things do have a funny way of working out xx

So sorry to hear about your job. The thing is, this will open new doors for you!! I have been in the same situation before, and it is worrying, but it isn't the end of the world!!
And the response from DH, sounds a typically mail response, don't let it get you down : )

I do hope that something comes up quickly for you - maybe something better where they are more flexible.

Hi There,

Found you through another blog...
Sorry to hear this!
I myself was made redundant as of the 31st July, which was a bit of a shock at first!
I am going to try and make a go of crafting though, even if it doesn't earn me a fortune it is enjoyable!
Plus am also re-starting my degree course in Sept, and re-starting driving lessons!
(phew, who can fit in work around all that?!)

I guess change is scary for everyone, but I am trying to see my "un-employment" as an opportunity.

I hope everything works out for you, and that your study goes well :-)

Oooh! I'm so sorry to hear it. I'm losing my job at the end of September and I'm really upset about it, but things will get better in time and hopefully you'll find yourself in a better place soon!
